This is my versions of the 9 months in vs 9 months out photo.
It takes a lot to keep a newborn alive for 9 months. Some would argue that the newborn phase is one of the hardest phases of parenthood. For me keeping this babe in my belly for 9 months was way harder. Yes, there were shots involved. No – I never thought I would have to give myself daily injections. But let me tell you… the mental game of being pregnant after loosing a baby is way harder than shots. Every day I would wake up wondering if everything was okay. Was I doing everything possible to keep my baby safe? Was my body enough to keep my baby safe? Was I enough?
This time, I was enough. Deep sigh of relief. My baby is here and he is healthy, beautiful, happy and perfect. Children are a gift and that is something I’ll never take for granted.
